One of our 4th graders has family in Italy. With family and friends in the hardest hit regions of Italy, they have received first-hand accounts of the great turmoil the Coronavirus has caused on many levels. Unfortunately, now it is our turn to experience the challenges of trying to contain the virus.
One thing that stands out in their minds is the amazingly positive attitude the Italians are putting forward despite these difficult times. Nationwide Italian children are hanging banners off balconies with drawings of a rainbow and these simple but powerful words: “Tutto Andrà Bene!” (“Everything will be alright!”).
Our 4th grader proposed this initiative to our SMS community via Facebook. Our SMS families followed her lead and draw something similar to hang on their doors as a sign that we will get through this turmoil and be stronger….. Everything will be alright.
