Fr. Antony Vadakara CMI
|Father Antony, a member of the CMI Congregation was ordained a priest on December 26, 1990 in India. After his ordination, as a religious missionary priest, he worked in Tanzania and Kenya in Africa for 12 Years. He taught in secondary schools in Tanzania and Kenya for two years. He was a parish priest in Australia for 10 years. Most recently, he served as Parochial Vicar at St. Anthony-St. Alphonsus Church, Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Laura L. Allen
Science Teacher 6th, 7th and 8th Grade
|Laura Allen, principal, has a BA in Physical Education from Sacramento State, a Multiple Subject Teaching credential and Single Subject credential in Physical Education from National University, and a MA in Educational Administration from St. Mary's College, Moraga.|
Laura’s Catholic School education experience spans over four decades. She began her career teaching in the Diocese of Sacramento in 1975 at St. Philomene School before moving on to St. Robert School. She was the Athletic Director at both locations. In addition, she was PAL Parochial Athletic Director for the Diocese of Sacramento from 1977-1980 and again from 1984-86. She also served as the Diocesan Curriculum Coordinator from 2003-2007.
Laura moved into administration and became principal at St. Mary School from 1999-2010 and then served as principal at St. Patrick Academy from 2010-2016.
Laura enjoys watching the Kings, Giants and 49ers, reading mysteries, and playing with her dogs; Allie, a long-haired dachshund, Bailey, a miniature pinscher/chihuahua and Riley, a golden retriever.
Mrs. Kerry Finley
|Kerry Finley is our Administrative Secretary and has a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from UC Davis. Together with her husband Mark, they have one son Kyle and one daughter Marissa.|
Their family also includes Luke, a yellow lab that they won at the 2018 St. Mary Auction. Kerry likes to coach soccer, bake, bike and play games with her family.
Mrs. Aprille Girardot
|Aprille Girardot, our front desk receptionist, has a BA in Communications and a Business Minor from Seattle Pacific University. She and her husband Brian have two daughters and one son. Their family also includes two dogs Fluffy and Teddy, and two cats Muggins and Oreo. |Kevin Riley earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from California State University, Sacramento and has been a licensed civil engineer in California for over 20 years. He's an alumni parent of Lauren '16 and Kimberly '19 and has been part of our St. Mary's community for over 25 years. He has volunteered as our Little Dribblers Coordinator for 10 years and our Athletic Director for 6 years. |Kelly graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Business Economics and is a Certified Public Accountant holding the position of Business Manager at St. Mary School. |Mrs. Rojas is an Administrative Assistant. She has been married to her husband Joe for 41 years. Prior to her employment at St. Mary, she spent 18 years in the dental field as well as many years as an interior designer with a family owned business. Mrs. Rojas and her husband Joe have 3 children (all alum of St. Mary School) and 4 grandchildren. Mrs. Rojas’ passion, pride and joy is her family. |Suzie completed a math science curriculum at Sacramento City College while working full time in the Sacramento print industry. She established a graphic design and print service company with a substantial client base that included St. Mary School. Her role as Marketing Assistant to the Principal of St. Mary School, has been rewarding. Suzie has spent a lifetime at St. Mary parish. She is married to Walter, and they have two sons, and two dogs. Mrs. Michelle Timm
|Michelle Timm is the school counselor here at St. Mary's. She received her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Counseling with PPS credential at Sonoma State University. She is married and has two daughters that are 14 and 16 years old. She has many pets which include, two mini horses, two cats, two dogs and a bunny. Mrs. Mary Avila
|Mary Stroh Avila has a BA in Social Sciences from the University of California, Stanislaus, and has earned a Standard Elementary Teaching Credential, a Clear Supplementary Authorization in Mathematics and a Clear Language Development Specialist Certificate. |
She teaches math to our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.
Mary has been married nearly four decades and has one son Garrett. Outside of the classroom she likes to travel, cook, read, and spend time with family and friends.

|Kristen Billeci earned her BA in Mathematics from UC Davis and her teaching credential from Sacramento State.|
She and her husband, Ben, have two daughters, Isabel and Emily. She enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Their family goldfish is named Shiny and Kristen enjoys hiking, singing in her husband's church choir and doing crafts with her daughters.

Ann loves cheering on her daughters at all of their sporting events. Ann is a huge Sacramento Kings fan and she once interned at KHTK Sports 1140, the flagship station of the Kings. Ann enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, riding bikes, reading, traveling, and studying U.S. history.
Miss Christina Broughton
|Christina Broughton earned multiple degrees from Sacramento State including a BA in History and a Multiple subject credential with a Supplemental History Credential.|
When not teaching our 3rd graders, Christina loves to bake, read, crochet, embroider, garden and ride her bike. She also enjoys being a student and likes to take computer science and French classes.
Mrs. Mary DaRosa
|Mary Avila-DaRosa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on child development and the hospitalized child from Sacramento State. Her clinical studies were completed through the University of California, Davis Medical Center. She has nearly 20 years of teaching experience in health education and 12 years in Catholic Schools. She also holds her Catechist certification.|
Together with her husband Ken of over 20 years, have three children, Emerson in heaven, Camille and Jamieson.
She has two classroom turtles Crystal and Edward.
Mary loves to travel and learn about other cultures. She also loves to cook, garden, and walk on the beach.

|Rachel Diaz has earned multiple degrees from Saint Mary's College of California including a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in history. She also earned a Single Subject Credential in English and a Multiple Subject Credential. |
She currently teaches 5th grade and is the 6th grade English Language Arts teacher.
Together with her husband of nearly 20 years, they have three daughters. She enjoys cooking and entertaining, books and films, travel and museums, and all things Catholic.

|Danielle has a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Biology from the University of Central Florida, where she led a federally funded research project to assess the distribution and abundance of a threatened squirrel species. She spent over a decade teaching biology, environmental science, forensic science, and biochemistry courses at community colleges and universities. In her spare time, Danielle loves watching movies, putting together jigsaw puzzles and exploring the great outdoors. |Marilyn Fleming has a BA from UC Berkeley and a Masters of Education/Professional Clear Teaching Credential from National University. |
She leads our 7th graders as their homeroom, Theology and English Language Arts teacher.
Marilyn inherited two cats, Zeezu and Bodie from her daughter and when she’s not buried in a good book, enjoys spending time outside gardening, hiking or kayaking.

|Amy Suggs attended Sacramento State and earned her BA in government and also a multiple subject teaching credential. She continues to pursue her education as she is currently working on a single subject credential in social science and has plans to earn a Physical Education single subject credential in the future. |
Amy is the junior high social studies and PE teacher, as well as the 6th grade homeroom teacher. Despite many people cringing when she identifies herself as a middle school teacher, Amy loves it.
She has three daughters, Katy, Barbie and Molly and two shih tzus Hamilton and Franklin, named after two of our founding fathers.
As a health enthusiast, Amy enjoys weight lifting, playing tennis and coaching swimming in the summer for the Broadstone Barracudas. In between workouts and class room activities, she enjoys wine tasting.

|College & Degrees for Simone include; Sacramento State University, Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English and University of San Francisco, Masters of Arts in Teaching. She is an Enrichment Achievement Specialist & Resource Teacher. Her pets are Nikko, a 16-year-old German shepherd mix, and Dodger, a 10-year-old Bichon Frise.|
Most of her time is invested in family; however, she likes to keep busy by going to the gym, reading, and being very active when it comes to her faith. She helps lead retreats, which are devoted to helping our youth and young adults discover God. Additionally, she is the co-coordinator of St. Mary’s young adult program, The Pier Group.

Dee graduated from LaRoche College located in the north hills of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, with a double major in Sociology and Psychology. Dee has worked in the diocese of Sacramento for 38 years. She has two beautiful daughters, and enjoys reading, cooking, swimming and dancing.

|Preschool teacher with 12 years of teaching experience in Montessori. She has three adult sons, and a Siamese Tabby cat named Gigi. She loves the outdoors including hiking in the Desolation Wilderness and camping. Her passion is playing tennis on a women's USTA tennis team. Maureen enjoys going to her youngest son's jazz concerts and gigs, and other music concerts. She enjoys creating art, jewelry, and gardening.|
Her faith is an important part of her life. She is an Associate of the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement. She looks forward to going on retreats with fellow Associates every year, and doing service projects for the community.
Mrs. Donna Windmiller
|Ms. Donna lives in Elk Grove with her five rescue cats, dog, husband David of 22 years, and son Gabriel (14). Her daughter, Lauren (20) is currently completing her sophomore year at UC-Santa Barbara. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology from CSUS and a master’s degree in Education Studies. She recently joined us from The Phoenix School. She also worked for the Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) for the past 5 years as a substitute teacher in grades ranging from preschool to sixth grade and a parent volunteer in EGUSD for the past fourteen years. She also tutors children in literacy, handwriting, and math. She entered the ECE field as a parent. She enjoyed it so much, she decided to pursue a career change from the biotechnology industry to the educational field.
