People of Prayer
In a busy world, we know how important it is for ourselves, and for our students to connect mind and spirit. The treasures of our Catholic faith allow us to do this everyday. Whether we are in daily prayer, a religion class, or a weekly school Mass, we recognize the value of this connection. The church year has a special calendar. It does not go by months, but by seasons.
Students are taught to understand the meaning of these seasons, and the effect that it can have in our daily lives. Understanding the spiritual values of who we are is intrinsic to our human understanding of the world around us. It encourages us to develop the habit of making good choices, and nourishes our ability to grow into healthy spiritual people.
Saint Mary School provides abundant faith experiences for our students. Daily religion lessons, weekly Mass, seasonal prayer services, sacramental preparation in second (Reconciliation and Eucharist), and eighth grade (Confirmation), or a special class prayer time in our Chapel invites all of us to follow the path of Jesus.
